Farewell

Sorry I have been so quiet.....
Three weeks ago my mom-in-law passed away suddenly and unexpectedly!  To say it was a shock and terrible loss is an understatement.

Looking back on happpy memories I realise what an impact she had on my life and how many valuable lessons I learned from her in the 34 years I knew her.

She being French, we had so many hilarious moments of "language misses" (for lack of a better term) and having an incredible sense of humour, she found them the funniest of us all!

I am so lucky to have quite a few of her legendary cross stitch pieces, my favourite been our family tree which she stitched for our 20th wedding anniversary.

She taught me and nutured my love of cross stitch and I shared my passion for and taught her quilting.  How lucky was I to have someone who shared my stitching passion.

My own beloved parents and father-in-law died a number of years ago so Grandmere was the last grandparent to my children and their cousins.

All thats left to say is "Farewell my cross stitch queen"
